360-Degree View of Sites, CA

MARCH 2016 UPDATE: The 360-degree video taken with an iPhone in October 2014, the first frame of which you see here, does not now play -- unfortunately. I can describe what you'd see if it worked, however.

I took the video while standing just north of the "town" you see -- Sites, CA, which some have proposed as the site of future surface water storage -- i.e., a new reservoir. There are about three or four actual buildings in this town, which is surrounded by low hills. A "bathtub" comes to mind as your eye scans the surroundings, so the geography suggests a reservoir, but the suggestion comes with controversy.

The California Water Commission will be grappling with this and numerous other water-related proposals. If water topics interest you, bookmark the CWC and visit the CWC site often in 2016.
